The home nations clash in Euro 2016 boosted the coffers of Welsh pubs by 31% compared to an average Thursday, with English takings up 22%.

The data from showed that between 5pm and midnight, there was an 41% uplift in takings in the sample pubs in Wales and 32% in England.

Jacyn Heavens, founder of Epos Now, said: “England taking on Wales in a major tournament was always going to be a huge bonus for pubs and bars across the UK and it is great to see supporters from both nations getting together and having a good time before and after the game.”
