TikTok’s QSR lead Rameez Al Aghbar is to speak about the social media platform’s success with restaurant brands, at MCA’s Hostech conference on 22 October.
Aghbar, joined TikTok – one of the biggest and fastest growing social media platforms in the world – in 2021, and supports QSR brands with their marketing campaigns.
In his presentation: ‘TikTok: A new approach to social media marketing’, he will share the story of how TikTok has become one of the most influential platforms for the sector, particularly when reaching younger consumers.
He will also argue that marketers must shift their strategy away from traditional social media models, towards a focus on entertainment rather than promotion; while shining a spotlight on the brands that are winning on the video sharing app, such as KFC and Wingstop.
Taking place on Tuesday 22 October at The Ham Yard Hotel, London, MCA’s annual conference will feature top level speakers from some of the biggest brands across the eating and drinking out sector, who will be speaking about the latest tech and digital developments driving forward their businesses.
Other headlines speakers include Neil Miller, chief customer officer at itsu, who will update delegates on the brand’s transformation journey, while Jatin Chandwani, chief technology officer, KFC UK & Ireland, will share the fast food chain’s digital journey to date and how he anticipates AI will play a significant role in the QSR sector.
