Oddbins has begun trials of new chiller cabinets that allow customers to sample wine before they buy.
The "Odd Pods" have been introduced in five of its flagship stores with a view to extending them to all 127 stores nationally if successful.
The cabinets hold 10 bottles of wine and keep them fresh for up to three weeks.
