SSP has opened a new concept at Stansted Airport called The Camden Bar & Kitchen.

Inspired by the market stalls of Camden, the site comprises a restaurant and full service bar on the upper level and a bar and deli with grab and go options on the lower level. Combined, the two areas will have seating for 350 people.

The Camden will offer a morning menu, featuring classic breakfast dishes, as well as lunchtime classics such as fish and chips, steak, and burgers, as well as Thai and Indian influenced street food.

The menu will also feature a variety of Camden street food vendors on rotation, starting with Baba G’s, which will offer spice-filled dishes such as the Crazy Lamb Jalfrezi Burger.

SSP has worked with a group of post-graduate students from St Martin’s College to create the mural of London’s renowned street food scene, while local graffiti artists, the Graffiti Kings, have also created visually engaging artwork on the walls.

Simon Smith, CEO of SSP UK & Ireland said: “The Camden Bar & Kitchen transforms one of the largest and most prominent spaces in the airside departure lounge into a modern eclectic restaurant, reflecting the spirit of contemporary London and its most famous food market.”

Ben Green, retail director for London Stansted Airport said; “We are delighted to welcome The Camden Bar & Kitchen to London Stansted as the latest addition to our excellent line-up of great restaurants and bars.

“This is a very exciting time for the airport as the first phase of our £600 million transformation of the passenger experience begins to take shape, new long-haul services to Dubai, USA and Canada launch and all in a year when we will be London’s fastest growing airport.”
