The Gordon Ramsay Group has restructured its executive team ahead of its next period of growth.

Stuart Gillies has been promoted from managing director to chief executive, and will continue to focus on the group’s strategic growth whilst developing the brand’s culture.

Current operations director Andy Wenlock will takeover Gillies position and will lead the day-to-day running of the business as managing director.

As previously flagged up by MCA, David Kerr has become the group’s new finance director and Charlie Glynn its people director.

The company said that the new executive team will work together to continue growing the portfolio of restaurants in the Gordon Ramsay Group.

Ramsay said: “It’s a very exciting time at Gordon Ramsay Group and we’ve created some new strategic roles as we enter the next phase of development.

“I’m very excited for Stuart, who’s been with the group for over a decade and a driving force in our international growth, as well as Andy Wenlock who will excel in the role of Managing Director. I’m looking forward to working closely with these talented individuals as the Group continues to mature and grow.”

Gordon Ramsay Group has a portfolio of 29 restaurants globally, 14 of which are in London, where it employs 700 people in the City.
