Busaba Eathai, the Thai restaurant chain founded by Alan Yau and backed by Phoenix Capital Partners, is believed to have already secured a second site for its new all-day focused dining concept called Naamyaa.

M&C Report understands that the concept, which is loosely based on the eclectic cafés of Bangkok that offer authentic Thai dishes alongside Western items, has secured a unit at the Kingston Riverside development.

The first Naamyaa will open on 19th November in London’s Angel Building.

Like Busaba, the new format requires large sites, typically between 100 and 120 covers.

The 10-strong Busaba will continue to expand, but Yau gives the impression that the focus will be on its little sister for the time being with more London locations already under consideration.
