French restaurant, Le Pont de la Tour, is hosting a winter pop-up fondue bar on its terrace on the river on the Thames’ South Bank, south London.

The bar, which will be opne until the end of February, will serve bot cheese and chocolate fondues paired with wines.

These will include Savoyarde (melted mix of gruyere, tomme de savoie and beaufort cheeses with white wine) served with charcuterie, croutons and boiled new potatoes; Bourguignon (finely cut strips of beef sirloin, served with a sauce); and Raclette served on parmentier potatoes with bacon lardons.

The dessert fondues will include Fondue Valrhona, a blend of Valrhona chocolates melted down and served with orange blossom marshmallow, chocolate brownie and banana.

Customers can enjoy the fondues overlooking the Thames on the heated sheltered terrace that will include blankets, storm lanterns and candles as well as fur throws and cushions.

Fondues are priced between £15 – 45 and serve two people.
