Lavval Group, the family business behind Spaghetti House, has revealed more details about its new restaurant concept in Earl’s Court.

A Braccetto, meaning ‘arm in arm’ or ‘coming together’ in Italian, will focus on bringing people together, around classic regional dishes, which will include fresh and artisan pastas, lightweight Romana pizzas and seasonal specials.

Luigi Lavarini, whose father, Simone, opened their first restaurant in 1955, said: “Our family was part of the revolution that transformed London into becoming arguably the most exciting food city in the world. Back then, people simply fell in love with Italian food and culture - they still do today”.

A Braccetto will continue to nourish that love affair for Italian food, attracting younger, more health-conscious Londoners with its unique blend of traditional recipes, all served with a contemporary flair and flavour.

Isabel Montes De Oca, the group’s CEO, added: “We’ve been working on this exciting ‘neighbourhood’ concept for some time. London is constantly changing, and we wanted to develop a new offer for the younger generations of people living, working or visiting London. Our success, over the last 60+ years, has been built on being consistently wholehearted and welcoming – and that’s one thing that won’t be changing at A Braccetto.”

A Braccetto will offer a selection of regional dishes.

“Our father was from Piemonte, in the North, and our mother’s family was Sicilian” Luigi added. “So we know quite a lot about the amazing variety and special characteristics of Italian cooking.”
