Observer food critic has launched an amazing attack on the Garfunkel’s restaurant chain claiming it is to food “what Bernard Manning is to poetry” and to good taste “what George Bush is to world peace”.

He describes the diners as suckers with dead-eyed expressions and violated taste buds.
