Foxlow, the Hawksmoor spin-off from Will Beckett and Hugh Gott, is to close its Chiswick branch, it has been announced.

Following on from the closure of Foxlow Stoke Newington, the closure will leave three remaining sites under the concept, in Soho, Balham and Clerkenwell.

The plan to shut on 18 March was announced in a mailing to the restaurant’s database, with plans to move staff on to other sites where possible.

The statement said: “Although we’ve loved running the restaurant, and know that a good many of you have taken it to your hearts and become regulars, we haven’t been able to make it work.

On the closure of Stoke Newington in January 2017, Becklett admitted the paid had not got everything right, and blamed the closure on a “couple of poor decisions”.
