Cote Restaurants, the BC Partners-backed group, has lined up a double opening in Leeds for next summer under its eponymous brand and its fledgling Limeyard concept, MCA has learnt.

The group has secured a new build unit at the White Rose scheme’s leisure extension for all-day American kitchen concept Limeyard, with the opening next July set to mark the format’s debut outside of the south east.

The group is set to add sites in Staines and Woking to the concept’s original site in Ealing, during 2017.

At the same time, the company has secured the Mamas & Papas unit in Trinity Leeds for an opening under its core brand for next July.

Cote currently operates 81 sites under its eponymous brand and has openings lined up for the first quarter of next year in Bristol, Chester and Weybridge.

The group, which acquired Limeyard and sister concept Jackson & Rye from Richard Caring for an undisclosed sum at the start of this year, has exchanged on sites in Albion House in Woking and at the Two Rivers scheme in Staines for new Limeyard openings.

The Staines opening will see Cote place its own mark on the format, which currently operates out of single site in Ealing.

MCA understands that Cote will look to increase its openings target from 15 to c25-30 sites going forward with an ideal split being 10 openings across all three brands a year.

It currently operates five Jackson & Rye sites, recently opening in the City, whilst a further opening is lined up in Guildford.

The 65,000sq ft Whire Rose extension will comprise six new restaurants, including Wagamama, TGI Friday’s, Chiquito and Pizza Hut, alongside an 11-screen, state-of-the-art IMAX Cineworld cinema, an event space, as well as a bespoke children’s play area.
