A TV advert for Kentucky Fried Chicken has caused a stir in China. It showed an aged Taoist monk declaring that a chicken burger is a "masterpiece". The character is based on Fu Qingzhu, who helped defend China against invaders in the early 17th century. But angry critics accused KFC of showing a lack of respect for Chinese culture.
