CDG Leisure has been appointed by House of Fraser to oversee the food and beverage development strategy at Frasers – the luxury lifestyle retail brand launched by House of Fraser earlier this year.

Multiple Frasers stores are due to open across the UK over the next five years – with expansion of the brand led by Sports Direct Group’s head of elevation Michael Murray.

The plan is to transform new and existing (House of Fraser) sites, into modern, agile and inspirations spaces, with F&B to be a strong focal point for the sites.

CDG Leisure is looking to secure F&B operators for prime spaces within the stores, under turnover-based agreements, which CDG Leisure’s chairman David Abramson said would avoid the fixed rents and rates which have been so problematic for eating out operators on the high street.

MCA understands that CDG Leisure is in talks with a range of operators, from local to national brands, including juice bar operators and celebrity chefs.

“Frasers wants as vibrant a mix as possible,” said a spokesperson for CDG Leisure, adding that customers could expect to see international operators within regional sites, not just at Frasers’ future London stores.

Abramson added: “We are delighted to be advising Frasers with their food and beverage portfolio. We look forward to providing vibrant opportunities for operators to take space on turnover related agreements, alongside the sizable investment being made into the Frasers brand in the coming years.”
