Adam Breedon has confirmed a second London venue for Bounce, as well as outlining the pipeline for international openings, beginning with Chicago in 2016 and Tokyo and Hong Kong the following year.

The fledgling ping pong bar/restaurant concept that’s backed by a number of industry veterans, will open in Shoreditch in October adjacent to Old Street roundabout in a disused basement space that will be filled with 17 ping pong tables as well as a private room with 3 tables and a dedicated cocktail bar, along with a restaurant overlooked by an open plan traditional 25 foot pizza counter and cocktail bar, serving up the finest classic and contemporary gin-inspired cocktail infusions.

The first international Bounce will open in downtown Chicago in February next year in what was originally designed to be the grand ballroom of the Shangri La Hotel and will have a 550-person capacity, 17 tables, two private rooms, a raised restaurant area and a 50ft long bar.

A further five US cities have been identified and a pipeline of fully owned and operated venues is being planned following the launch of Chicago.

Bounce is expected to open its first venues in Asia from 2017 with Hong Kong and Tokyo being targeted for the first sites in the Far East.

Breedon said: We were confident Bounce would be well received as a concept, but even I was astounded at the impact the flagship site has had on the London social scene. Our initial business plan was outperformed by 300% and the demand has simply been phenomenal.”

“Our vision for Bounce’s second London location is to create a place that defines the Shoreditch of tomorrow and not just another venue that feels the need to ‘fit in’. Our second London venue has been two and a half years and £3.5m in the making – we wanted our second baby to be at least as impactful as our first,” he continued.

Breedon opened the first Bounce in Farringdon in 2012 in a 12,000sq ft space housing 17 ping pong tables and a restaurant and cocktail bar with 95 covers.
