Chef Heinz Beck is returning to London next month to launch informal restaurant at Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair.

Beck, who has run three-Michelin-starred La Pergola in Rome since 1994, will open Beck at Brown’s on the former site of Hix Mayfair on 16 April.

The German chef was tipped to open at the hotel after he took on a six-week residency at the site last December.

Beck at Brown’s will offer a casual dining menu akin to his informal Rome restaurant Attimi, with small plates such as

The menu will showcase dishes from across Italy, beginning with small plates such as sweetbreads with fava beans, peas and artichokes (£17), pasta dishes such as spaghetti cacao e pepe with langoustine (£24) and main courses such as red mullet with black olive and tarragon (£21).
