Faucet Inn, the 21-strong London and south-east multiple headed by Steve Cox, has announced the appointment of Richard Stringer, formerly of Barracuda Group and JD Wetherspoon, as its first operations director.

Stringer has 20 years’ experience in the industry, including his most recent role of operations director at Barracuda, in which he was responsible for 220 pubs and 3,500 staff. Before that he was director of retail at JD Wetherspoon.

Faucet said he will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations including development of the brand’s menu, marketing and sales.
