New World Trading Company, the Graphite-backed pub group, is to open its 20th site this week.

The group will open under its Botanist brand in a 5,280sq ft site in Bridgford Street, West Bridgford, Nottingham.

The most recent opening for NWTC was the Canal House in Birmingham.

Chief executive Chris Hill said: “West Bridgford is the perfect place to open our milestone 20th site. It is a brilliant Botanist situated on a vibrant high street, catering for a knowledgable, discerning local customer base – exactly how our main brand, The Botanist, started.

“We plan for the expansion to continue with six new sites planned for 2018, including our new brand ‘The Florist’ in Bristol.”

In August, MCA revealed that NWTC had appointed Justin Ash, former chief executive of Oasis Healthcare and general manager at KFC, as non-executive chairman.
