The New World Trading Company (NWTC), the pub vehicle led by Living Ventures founders Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts, has confirmed it will open in Newcastle before the end of the year.

The group, which is also thought to be exploring opportunities in Bath, Bristol and Liverpool, has secured a site in the city’s Monument Mall scheme for a bar that is expected to have a tree through it.

The company is also set to open a Botanist in Cheltenham House in Birmingham’s Temple Street.

The group recently secured a site for a second Trading House location in Glasgow. The first will open later this year in London’s Gresham Street.

It is also believed to have secured a further site in Birmingham, which will operate under the Smuggler’s Cove name.

The group currently operates the Smuggler’s Cove in Albert Docks, Liverpool.

The company, which is on target to add five more sites to its estate this year, will open at 91 Gresham Street, on the old Bank of New Zealand site in the City, this November.

It plans to grow from four sites to 15 or 20 sites over the next three years.
