The New World Trading Company (NWTC), the pub vehicle of Living Ventures founders Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts, is set to open a new site in Liverpool called The Beach House.

The group, which already operates a Smuggler’s Cove site at the city’s Albert Docks, is planning to open a restaurant/bar in the style of its Oast House in Manchester, in the Chevasse Park part of the Liverpool One scheme.

The business, which is led by Chris Hill, has already secured sites in Birmingham’s Temple Street, Glasgow and London’s Gresham Street for openings this year, the former under The Botanist name and the latter two under the Trading House name.

The company, which opened a Botanist in Newcastle before the end of last year, is also thought to be exploring opportunities in Bath, Bristol and Richmond.

It is also believed to have secured a further site in Birmingham, which will operate under the Smuggler’s Cove name. Hill told M&C Report last week that the group had already earmarked two waterside-located sites to roll out its Smugglers Cove concept.

It plans to grow from four sites to 15 or 20 sites over the next three years.

Living Ventures Group, the Tim Bacon-led business, plans to open 13 new sites this year across its portfolio of brands.

Bacon said: “We have a really strong site pipeline across our portfolio with plans to open a further 13 restaurants in 2015. We are operating in a market underpinned by fundamental growth drivers. We are confident that 2015 will be another good year for us.”

It is thought the expansion plans will focus on the roll out of the group’s pub vehicle New World Trading Company, the Alchemist and Gusto.
