Manchester brewery JW Lees has introduced local, seasonal fare to its pubs. The new winter menus, will offer such selections as brewer’s pie made with the firm’s John Willie ale, oxtail braised in red wine as well as hamburgers made from Aberdeen Angus beef. The company has promised that its fish, meat, fruit and vegetables will be delivered fresh daily and that every meal will be made to order. Pub chefs will have the freedom to feature their own specialities in addition to regular menu items, and there will also be a ‘speedy’ lunchtime selection. The company said: "Pub food at its best cannot be beaten and we’ve always taken pride in serving good, quality, freshly prepared food. Fresh food is at the heart of our new menus."
