Inventive Leisure, the Revolution Vodka Bar operator, has appointed a head of food development to spearhead its food growth plans.
The appointment of Nathan McManus is part of the company’s Food Revolution initiative to increase food sales across its 66 sites by 25% within six months.
McManus is to lead a dedicated national staff training programme for the 600-plus kitchen and waiting staff. His role will be split between the company’s new Food Development Kitchen in Manchester and training centre in York.
McManus has 11 years’ experience as a development chef in hotel catering and fine dining, including stints as a junior sous chef Holiday Inn at Chester and head chef at the north-west gastro pub the Calcott Arms. His last position was as a development chef for frozen food supplier KK Fine Foods.
Ioan Eyton-Jones, food operations manager for Revolution, said: “We’re really excited about Nathan’s appointment as we look to transform our dining offering nationwide. The skill, experience and flair for food innovation that he brings to the role will be vital in helping us realise our ambitions for the Food Revolution brand.”
McManus said: “I’m looking forward to being able to introduce new ideas across the chain and work closely with the different kitchen teams and chefs across the UK to share my knowledge and experience.”
