James Elias, operations director at Fever Bars, has told M&C Report that the company hopes to open up to five venues this year.

Elias said the company was actively searching for sites and had a target list of towns and cities that it was eager to have a presence in.

The company opened its 20th site, in Aylesbury, in November, after spending c£200,000 refurbishing the former Hobgoblin.

Elias said: “The last year has been good. We are definitely seeing more people coming out and the challenge is to make sure we are offering enough to make them choose us over another venue. We know that the answer is not just cheap drinks. It’s a combination of great entertainment, great drinks offer and great service, as well as feeling safe and secure.”
