Punch Taverns says it has more than 80 of its Punch Foundation Tenancy (PFT) agreements in place two years after launching them.

The PFT sees Punch use its experience to create the right business proposition for each pub.

It invests in and equip the premises, and links the business to specialist accountants and insurers, provides a marketing plan. The company also find the right licensee to run the business.

Punch has a target to have 200 pubs on the agreement by the end of the year. Executive chairman Stephen Billingham told M&C Report in April: “We’re still heading towards that figure.” He said the company thinks about different ways to evolve its agreements “all the time” but said there were “no concrete plans” to do so at the moment.
