BrewDog has pencilled in 27 new bar openings for the remainder of this year, with its latest UK site opening in Basingstoke today (8 April).

The new site is located at Festival Place on Potters Walk, in the Hampshire town.

Other new upcoming UK openings include Canterbury, Durham, Chester, Bristol Harbourside, Ipswich, Lincoln and Waterloo.

It also has a number of international openings lined up, including in Las Vegas, Milan, Atlanta, Brisbane and Dublin.

The Scottish brewer and bar operator has been the subject of a lot of negative media press attention of late, following claims about a toxic work culture at the business.

Last month BrewDog founder and CEO James Watt has said a criminal prosecution was underway for fraud and malicious communication, over an alleged campaign of online harassment directed against him.

Watt said he had been subjected to a “two year-long coordinated criminal campaign of online harassment, defamation, blackmail, significant fraud, and malicious communications”.
