Farmstand, the sustainable fast-casual concept, has former Leon and Abokado operations manager Bernardo Aragao as head of operations, MCA has learnt.

Aragao spent seven years at Leon reporting to Operations Director Glenn Edwards during which time the group grew from nine stores to 40.

Farmstand, which has a restaurant in Dury Lane and a number of mobile concessions, has also appointed Kate Whitelock as head of marketing, who was previously head of commercial marketing at ASOS.com, and prior to that at LinkedIn and Yahoo.

Steven Novick, who founded and leads the business, said the appointments represented “bringing together best in class offline businesses with best in class online businesses”.

Farmstand’s board includes Laura Gutowski of Pret, Rebecca Williams formerly of Converse and Barbara Romer, formerly of Soho House Group.
