Further details have emerged about the launch of Irish kebab chain Abrakebabra in the UK. The first three will open in Northampton, Banbury and Bedford. Another two sites will be in similar towns, probably on high streets and near pubs and clubs. Patrick Leahy, a former KPMG executive who is heading the team leading the launch in the UK, said he expected sales in the first year of more than £1m. The concept expands the remit of the conventional kebab shop with burrito wraps, taco fries and baguettes available alongside doner kebabs. Abrakebabra has 70 franchised outlets in Ireland and has branches in Spain and Bahrain. Financial Times 22/05/04 page 4 (Money & Business)
