Franco Manca, the Fulham Shore-owned chain, is set to further strengthen its presence in the regions, with openings lined up in Bristol and Oxford, MCA understands.

The 38-strong group, which recently opened in Bournemouth and Reading, has secured a site at 6-12 George Street in Oxford and at 16-22 Clare Street, in Bristol.

The company, which will open in Islington later this month, is also believed to be in talks on sites in Cambridge, Edinburgh, More London and in Chelsea.

The group will next open on the former Canas y Tapas unit at 72 Upper Street, Islington.

It recently opened its first overseas site in Salina.

David Page, chairman of parent group, Fulham Shore, previously told MCA that further openings this year are likely to be a mix of London and south England locations, before the group looks to expand further across the UK, including exploring openings in Scotland.

Jake Bernstone at Stonebrook London acted on the Oxford deal.
