Neapolitan pizza chain Pizza Pilgrims will open its latest pizzeria on Carlton Street in Nottingham’s creative district of Hockley. The site accommodates 80 covers, including an outdoor area, and will feature a three-floor dining space plus a central, long dining table for both private dining and group events.

 

Wingstop, Chelmsford

Wingstop will open in Gray’s Brewery Yard on Chelmsford’s Springfield Road by early June. The new location will cater to both dine-in and takeout customers, offering wings in a range of flavours, as well as chicken tenders, burgers, fries, platters, and churros.

 

Cantinetta Antinori, Knightsbridge

The Antinori winemaking family, which has been producing wine since 1385 and opened their first restaurant in 1957, will launch their first UK restaurant on 24 April on London’s Harriet Street. It will join an estate of 32 sites globally.

The 3,700 sq ft, three-storey site will offer all-day Tuscan dining with handmade pasta and sharing plates, plus fine wines, live jazz, a terrace, and a private dining space. The bar area will offer Italian charcuterie, wine, and espresso.

 

Leon, Bath

Healthy food-to-go brand Leon has opened its first location in the Southwest on Bath’s Stall Street. The high street site will be weighted towards grab-and-go, and has been designed to offer a digital-first experience with kiosks.

 

The Apollo Arms, Clapham

Boutique hospitality group Lunar Pub Company will open its third site following the success of The Hunter’s Moon in South Kensington and Ganymede in Belgravia. Located in Clapham Old Town, the 2,000 sq ft pub and dining room will accommodate 100 covers and an additional 70 in an al fresco garden terrace.

It will be split into a dining room, bar, snug, and games room, and offer a range of wines, beers, spirits, and contemporary cocktails. The menu will spotlight modern British food and locally sourced ingredients, with daily changing lunch and dinner menus, brunch, bar snacks, and Sunday lunch.

 

Level Tap, Liverpool

Competitive socialising concept Level Tap will launch a new 6,500 sq ft venue at Liverpool One’s Hanover Street in May, marking the city’s first competitive gaming venue. It will be an interactive, experience-led venue for gaming and Esports spectating, broadcasting live events and featuring racing simulators, PCs, console stations.

The lower level will house a lounge area with a bar and dining tables, serving gaming-themed cocktails, shakes, seltzers, beer, wine, and soft drinks, along with pizza, sides, snacks, and sundaes.

 

200 Degrees, Chester

Independent coffee roaster 200 Degrees will open a coffee shop and barista school on Chester’s Bridge Street in May, in a Grade II listed premises. It will be the 19th venue for the East Midlands-based chain, seating 90 customers and serving sustainably sourced coffee plus deli ciabattas, soups, toasties, cakes, and pastries.

 

Gail’s, Brentford

Gail’s will open a 1,916 sq ft bakery and café at the Brentford Project in London in early 2024. The site will serve the premium bakery chain’s breads, pastries, and cakes, along with hand-roasted speciality house blend coffee. It will also offer sandwiches and quiches, along with outdoor seating.

 

The Rooftop, The Standard London (reopening)

The Standard London in King’s Cross will reopen its Rooftop on 7 April, serving champagne, cocktails on tap, and a new East Asian-inspired menu. It will feature a new food concept called Buns, offering dishes inspired by Taiwanese street food flavours and focused on baos.

 

Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly

Fortnum & Mason has transformed its third floor into an ‘experiential hub’ dedicated to food and drink. The purpose-built studio will hold customer workshops, supperclubs, masterclasses, chef’s tables, live cooking demonstrations, and experimentation in a new multi-use kitchen.

It will also play host to more than 100 Fortnum’s chefs as a production kitchen to create recipes for the department store, while serving as a platform for both emerging and established chefs.

 

Fish Shop, Ballater

Artfarm, the group behind Mount St Restaurant and The Audley Public House in London, will launch a new venture in the Scottish Highlands. Fish Shop will open as a restaurant and fishmonger on 29 April in Ballater, near the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland.

The venue will focus on freshly caught seafood in a 40-cover restaurant and adjoining fishmonger, with the addition of select game, meat, and vegetables from surrounding farms and estates. It will also offer wine from British and European vineyards.

 

 

The Willow, Bourton-on-the-Water

Fuller’s has opened a new pub in the Cotswold village Bourton-on-the-Water. Acquired last year, The Willow has undergone a refurbishment and now includes a large outdoor dining area by the River Windrush. It will offer seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and dishes including Sunday roasts, sandwiches, cakes, and a children’s menu.
