Medical researchers cannot agree whether alcohol is good for people or not, according to The Observer. Despite saying for years that moderate drinking was beneficial, the latest advice from the 'experts' is that it could increase the chances of developing bowel cancer.
This follows the government's announcement in May that women who were pregnant, or hoping to become pregnant, should eschew all alcohol.
