The Chinese National Healthy Living Centre, in London’s Soho, is spearheading a drive with the support of the British Heart Foundation to teach nearly 200 Chinese take-away chefs healthier cooking techniques.
Now the take-aways involved are offering healthy-option menus in their local outlets.
Further courses to train chefs are planning for Manchester and Birmingham. A book is planned, Fresh Chinese, with recipes compiled by nutrition expert Wynnie Chan.
