Capital Pub Company, the London-based pub operator, which is set to delist next month following its £70m acquisition by Greene King, has announced a reshuffle of its board, including the resignation of co-founder David Bruce.

The company also announced the resignation of James Bruxner as non-executive chairman and Richard Prickett as non-executive director.

Non-executive director Bruce, who co-founded the 34-strong company with current chief executive Clive Watson, was Capital’s chief executive from 2001 to 2008.

Capital thanked Bruce, who heads up Country Food & Dining (CFD), the farm shop and restaurant concept, saying that his contribution in building up the company “has been immense”.

It also thanked Bruxner and Prickett, who had been non-executive directors since the launch of the business, saying they had played “integral part in helping the company during its expansion over the last 10 years”.

Pending the delisting of the company’s shares on 3 October, the board also announced the appointment of Rooney Anand, and Matthew Fearn, respectively chief executive and finance director of Greene King as directors of the business.
