Uber Eats has said vegan orders have grown 322% over the past year, with avocado-based meals 78% more popular.

The latest data released by the online delivery platform showed the growing popularity of morning orders, and a 204% increase in coffee orders year on year.

The group revealed the statistics as it unveiled a buy one get one free offer to celebrate its second birthday this week.

The offer covers 1,200 restaurants, including Leon, Rossopomodoro, Paul Bakery, Pret, BarBurrito, Krispy Kreme and Subway, and will run in six cities - London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Liverpool – from today until Sunday.

Toussaint Wattinne, Uber Eats UK general manager, said: “After two years of helping to deliver to homes and offices across the UK, we wanted to celebrate our second birthday by giving something back to customers. Working with 1200 of our most popular restaurant partners to offer a million pounds worth of the nation’s favourite food for free felt appropriate!”
