Gentlemen Baristas, the speciality coffee shop operator and roaster, has entered into administration.
Farheen Qureshi of Parker Getty was appointed administrator on 5 January, according to updates on Companies House.
The business was founded by Edward Parkes and Henry Ayres, and as of 2019 was set to grow to 12 sites.
More recently the estate has been downsized to four all in London.
A new roastery was opened in Stratford in the summer of 2023.
Parkes and Ayres ceased to have full control of the business as of April 2022, though are understood to have remained involved.
At the same time, Ali Mohammed Mousa apparently acquired a controlling stake in the business.
