The Independent on Sunday’s Terry Durack dined at Market in London’s Camden Town. He describes it as having a more independent voice than the welcome rash of British gastropubs and bistros. It is strong, sustainable and sustaining and Durack finds it more exciting than the last 20 glitzy, exploitative, upmarket restaurant concepts to have come along. Awarding it 16 marks out of 20, Durack says he will be going back to Market, the baby of Denise Tang and chef Dan Spence, as soon as possible.
