Heineken is running to stand still and newly announced structural changes do little to address the issue, says The Business.
Jean-Francois van Boxmeer takes over from Tony Ruys as chief executive of the Dutch brewer in August and another director, Karl Buche, will also leave the company. Top management will be reduced from 36 to 13 and operations will focus on five regions instead of the existing six.
The newspaper says tinkering with the company’s structure hardly seems destined to protect its premium valuation compared with Carlsberg, InBev and SABMiller.
