London-based Charlene de Carvalho, daughter of the late Alfred "Freddy" Heineken and the biggest shareholder in the Dutch brewer, is number 12 in The Sunday Times Rich List with a £2,270m fortune. That is almost 10 times what The Queen is worth. Irishman Sean Quinn, who has diversified from cement making into pubs and hotels, is 49th. In 60th place is Blackpool Tower owner Trevor Hemmings, who also has a £100m pubs estate and a £163m stake in Scottish & Newcastle brewery. Pizza and pubs entrepreneur Hugh Osmond is 263rd with £185m. Peter Shalson, whose Pubfolio chain has more than 800 pubs, is worth £175m which makes him 281st. Michael Cannon, who has gone from a half-share in a Bristol pub to buying and selling pub chains, is in 294th place with £160m. He made £25m from selling Morrells of Oxford to Greene King and recently took over Eldridge Pope for £82m. David McMullen, who was chairman of the family-owned brewer until his recent retirement on health grounds, has £140m which makes him 335th. Douglas Myers, who sold most of his 16% stake in Lion brewery to a Japanese brewer for £70m, is 349th with £130m. Robert Earl, who is trying to revive his Planet Hollywood restaurant chain, is worth £120m and is in 382nd place. The Macdonald family, who founded Glenmorangie, is 458th with £100m. JD Wetherspoon has put Tim Martin into 571st place with £88m. Cider puts Esmond Bulmer and family into 583rd place with £85m. Luke Johnson's restaurant businesses have helped him to an £80m fortune which makes him joint 607th, along with fellow restaurant tycoon Phillip Kaye and his family. Herbel Restaurants founder Michael Herbert and his family are 650th with £77m. Sir Terence Conran in 654th place with £75m.
