Starbucks is to focus on niche formats in its bid to expand in the UK – after reaching 700 stores.
The managing director of the British and Irish division wants to shift from “quantity to quality” as it plans on targeting transport hubs and drive-through locations.
It wants to double the amount of drive-through sites it has in the UK to 10.
Darcy Wilson-Rymer said: “It’s not about the numbers – it’s about coming up with ways, anywhere that a customer wants coffee, to find the right format for that space.”
