Stink bombs were thrown into 20 McDonald's restaurants in Paris in what was described as a protest over the company's "nauseous practices". A demonstration by hundreds of campaigners was sparked off after the fast food chain sacked staff in the city. One protester said: "We condemn fast food practices, the lack of job security, hellish working speed and ridiculous wages."
