Turtle Bay, the fast-growing, Piper-backed brand, has secured a site in Newcastle, M&C understands.
The company is understood to have taken on a unit in Newgate Street, close to The Gate retail complex.
Turtle Bay plans to open 12 restaurants in total this year. Its 20th opening will be at the Far From the Madding Crowd pub in Oxford.
