The Restaurant Group (TRG) is rolling out a delivery-only concept for its Chiquito brand called Kick-Ass Burrito, MCA has learnt.

Available in selected sites, including the Chiquito’s in Enfield, Crawley and Salford, and in different locations through Deliveroo and UberEats, the new concept features bundled offers such as two classic white flour burritos plus a choice of two soft drinks and one Tortilla chips & dip for £13 or a choice of four classic white flour burritos plus a choice of two soft drinks for £25.

There is also an option to build your own burrito, plus specials and desserts.

MCA reported earlier this year that TRG had started rolling out its fledgling delivery-only concept, Burger Burger, outside of the capital. It is thought that over 20 Frankie & Benny’s sites now incorporate the concept.

The concept was launched in April from the Joe’s Kitchen under TRG’s head office in Marshalsea Road, Borough.

The group has also launched a standalone website for the concept.

MCA revealed earlier this year that TRG had launched the concept, which offers three beef, one chicken and one veggie burger as well as a build-your-own option, with prices ranging from £7 to £8.50.

Last month, MCA revealed that TRG’s rival, the Casual Dining Group was trialling a delivery-only concept, Blazing Bird, from a selection of its Las Iguanas restaurants.

The brand is named after a dish from the core Las Iguanas menu – a half or whole chicken with fiery sauce and bagged up fries. The menu also offers chicken wing combos and Bird of Burger Bundles for Two, as well as a small range of sides and a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream as the sole dessert option.

The brand is available across the country through both Deliveroo and UberEats, and is set to be listed on the Just Eat portal soon.

CDG has already launched a delivery-only model in its Café Rouge estate – with the croque monsieurs and burgers-focussed Stack & Grill.
