Rossopomodoro, the Italian restaurant chain backed by Change Capital, has started the search for a further flagship in central London, as it lines up further openings in partnership with John Lewis.

The group, which is led by Handley Amos, currently operates eight restaurants in London, plus its rooftop terrace Rossoterrazza on the rooftop of the retailer’s flagship site in Oxford Street.

Amos said that the group would like to add a further flagship restaurant in the capital in the next 12 months after a strong year of sales for the business.

He also said that the group’s next two sites with John Lewis would be situated in the north of England.

However, he ruled out adding any further sites under the group’s Ham Holy Burger format. It opened a site under the concept in the Oxford Street John Lewis last year.

The group currently operates sites with John Lewis in Oxford Street, Newcastle and Birmingham.

Earlier this year, John Lewis announced it was set to expand its in-store food experiences by further developing its partnerships with Joe & The Juice and Rossopomodoro, with 10 sites under both brands set to be introduced across its stores within the next 12 months.

The group’s site in Newcastle was first to launch new Joe & The Juice and Rossopomodoro sites, while further Joe and The Juice units will open in its Bluewater and Watford stores, and at its new store in Birmingham. A further Rossopomodoro restaurant is scheduled to open in Kingston.
