Leon, the healthy fast food concept, has secured the Caffe Concerto site in London’s Tottenham Court Road for an opening later this year.

The company, which recently agreed to sell its site in Bluewater to Bill’s, will open the site at 106 Tottenham Court Road this October, as part of plans to open another four to five sites by the of the year.

The sale of the Tottenham Court Road site leaves Caffe Concerto with 14 units in the capital.

It will open its first regional site next years at the Grand Central development in Birmingham.

M&C Report revealed yesterday that Leon was ramping up its expansion with 16 new restaurants planned in 2015 across the UK and is “actively looking” for sites for a US debut.

For 2015 there are 16 stores planned including its first high street locations outside of the capital. Vincent said they are considering Birmingham and Manchester as targets.

The nationwide roll-out will continue the following year with 20 stores planned with Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton and Chelmsford being considered as potential store locations as well as out of central London including Hammersmith, Ealing, Chiswick and Hampstead Heath, while it is also considering department store openings.

The five stores planned for this year will be in Farringdon, due to open at the end of September; Tottenham Court Road, which will open in mid-October; and Victoria Station to open in November, which will be the second Leon in the Victoria area.

Two further sites are under negotiation in the City and the West End.

Seb Howard at CBRE acted on the Tottenham Court Road deal, while Marc Rogers at Selsian acted on the Farringdon deal.
