Bill Granger, the Australian chef and restaurateur, has secured his first site in the UK for his all-day dining, Asian and Mediterranean-influenced concept Bills in London’s Notting Hill. Granger, who moved to the UK from Australia two years ago, is understood to have taken the lease on the site of the Pix Pintos bar in Westbourne Grove, with an opening set for November. The chef and TV personality currently operates six restaurants under the Bills name, three in Australia and three in Japan. He opened his first restaurant in 1993 in Sydney and his latest in Odaiba, Japan in July this year. Pix, the late-night Spanish pinxto bar concept, opened its latest site in London, in the West End, earlier this year. The company, the brainchild of owner and manager John Thornhill, secured a lease on the site in Bateman Street in Soho. It also operates a bar on Covent Garden’s Neal Street.
