Feng Sushi, the Japanese fast-casual restaurant and take away concept backed by Luke Johnson, has been awarded three stars from the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) for innovation in 2013.

This is the highest award the SRA, of which Raymond Blanc is the president, awards for enabling diners to make more sustainable choices when eating out.

Feng Sushi said: ”We’re absolutely thrilled to have been awarded 3 stars and are even more motivated to increase our overall percentage rating to continue to better our business practices.”

The SRA Sustainability Rating recognises restaurants as one, two or three Star Sustainability Champions based on a range of criteria in 14 areas of sustainability.

“Feng Sushi’s performance across the SRA Sustainability Rating was exceptional. Sourcing was the restaurant’s second highest score in the rating and The SRA observed some excellent practices in this pillar, including the restaurant’s effort to source a variety of sustainable seafood according to seasonality, and purchasing ethical and British produce,” the SRA said.
