Cote, the BC Partners-backed company, has secured a further flagship site in London, at Royal Festival Hall, MCA has learnt.

The company, which operates 93 sites under its eponymous brand, will open its first restaurant of 2018, before the end of March on the Caffe Vergnano 1882 unit on the South Bank.

The group, which is set to launch a new loyalty scheme from the start of next year, has also recently opened in Newcastle and Harpenden.

The company is to launch an initiative next month that it said would “truly reward guests for their loyalty”.

Speaking to Essential Retail, chief financial officer Strahan Wilson said the integration of Cote’s booking platform and PoS would allow individual restaurants to build a profile of their regular guests, which in turn would enable them to offer rewards – such as a free dessert or glass of wine – based on actual purchase history and visitor frequency.

Strahan said that a pre-order/pre-pay function that has already been used in conjunction with Cote’s Christmas menu was also in the pipeline.
