Burger & Lobster, the Goodman-owned London-based group, has secured a site at Milsom Place in Bath to open its third regional site at the end of the summer.

It has also secured a site in Manchester at the Ship House Canal building with Shelly Sandzer, which acted on both deals.

Landlords TIAA Henderson Real Estate recently bought Milsom Place to convert it from predominantly a retail space into a mixed-use leisure destination.

Côte Brasserie, Jamie’s Italian and Colonna & Hunter will be alongside Burger & Lobster in the redeveloped building which dates from 1767.

Burger & Lobster is taking an 8,000sq ft space spread over two storeys in the Grade II listed Octagon Chapel as its first outpost in the southwest.

The basement will include a 60-cover cocktail bar.

Casey Phillips, acquisitions agent for Shelley Sandzer, said: “The beautiful, historic and affluent City of Bath is well represented by many fast casual groups and we are pleased to have used our nationwide leisure expertise to secure such a unique building for Burger and Lobster.

“It is also fitting that the Octagon Chapel was fashionable in the 1800’s, attracting distinguished visitors and described as a venue to “see and be seen“, should now be occupied again with the same aspirations, by one of the most exciting concepts in the sector.”
