Enterprise Inns was one of the stock market's better performers on Friday, as takeover talk regarding Punch Taverns served to lift shares in the pub company led by Ted Tuppen.
Enterprise shares rose 2.6p to 117p as several brokers upgraded their recommendations, saying that its stock would rise regardless of whether a bid for Punch materialised or not.
