A third of the winning pubs recognised at the Star Pubs & Bars awards last night were run by multiple operators.

Operators awarded include Belle Pubs & Restaurants, Griffin Belle in Vauxhall for best live sports venue, and Kate Hayden and Paul Warriner’s The Extraordinary Hare in West Hendred for most family friendly pub.

Other winners were Rose Hanison’s The Black Horse for best bar team, Whiting and Hammond’s The Blue Ball for best soft drinks, and Matthew Musyzynski’s The Salisbury Ale House for ‘pint perfection.’

“With 2,500 pubs in the Star Pubs & Bars estate, the competition was intense,” said Lawson Mountstevens, Star Pubs & Bars managing director. “It was a tremendous accolade to all the winners and finalists to be nominated. They are raising the bar and creating outstanding, individual pubs that are much-valued and loved by the communities they serve.”
