Jason Green and David Salmon, the former The Restaurant Group executives, are set to roll out their Cock n Bull bar and restaurant concept.

The first Cock n Bull opened in Stourbridge High Street in late 2017 and the pair told MCA they have now secured a second site in the Mulberry Walk development in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, to open at the end of next month. They are also in advanced negotiations on a site in Manchester’s Ancoats for a Cock n Bull as well as talking to Admiral Taverns, their landlord in Stourbridge, about a standalone pub site.

Green, the former Chiquito managing director and Salmon, the brand director of Frankie & Benny’s, said they saw national scope for the Cock n Bull brand, which is based around “filthy burgers, kick ass chicken and liquor”. However, both stressed that they were enjoying the freedom to not have rollout targets.

Green said: “We have worked really hard in Stourbridge to get the concept right and to build up the brand. People in Mere Green are really excited that we’re coming there so it’s great to have got to the point where you have that word of mouth.

“We’ve deliberately taken our time to get to this point and now there are a lot of exciting opportunities out there for us.”
