St Peter’s Brewery, one of the UK’s oldest craft brewers, has acquired Kent-based Curious Brewery for an undisclosed sum.
The purchase was finalised on 29 September.
Curious Brewery chairman Mark Crowther and managing director Simon George have left their posts following the deal, while Matthew Anderson remains as operations director.
Curious Brewery was established by wine company Chapel Down in 2011.
It was acquired by Luke Johnson’s Risk Capital Partners in spring 2021.
St Peter’s Brewery, meanwhile, was founded in 1996 by John Murphy by St Peter’s Hall in South Elham, making it one of the UK’s oldest craft brewers.
